Why Electrolysis?

The re-assignment process is not an easy decision to take... Transgender clients find it difficult to deal with facial hair removal on a daily basis. A great number of my customers find that they feel more confident, attractive and comfortable when unwanted hair is removed.

Unfortunately, many hair removal options have considerable downsides. Shaving or using hair removal mousse is time-consuming, may irritate the skin and is only a short-term solution. A Waxing provides longer-lasting results but can be painful, expensive and also leave your skin irritated.

ONLY Electrolysis offers a permanent solution to the problem of body hair – in fact, it is the only hair removal method legally allowed to describe itself as permanent. This can save you both time and money.

What Options do I have?

There are three main types (modalities) of electrolysis. The following generalizations are hotly debated. Thermolysis uses heat and is generally considered to treat more hairs per session but is not as efficient at killing hairs with one treatment. Galvanic uses an electro-chemical reaction and is generally considered more effective at killing hairs with one treatment but treats less hairs per session. The Blend combines both modalities in an attempt to get the benefits of both. All three methods have vocal champions and detractors, as do the many kinds of electrolysis probes available. Many people contend that electrologist skill is more important than modality used. Others feel very strongly that one modality is better than another.

lectrolysis is the most reliable option available today that has been proven to remove trans women’s facial hair permanently. Laser can be an acceptable or even preferable alternative in some cases, but laser is usually not enough by itself to remove trans women’s facial hair permanently.

Because electrolysis can be unpleasant, people constantly hope there is a faster, easier, cheaper, less painful way to remove facial hair permanently. They will try anything they hear might work rather than submit to electrolysis. This has led to a lot of speculation and misinformation floating around, and a lot of unscrupulous people willing to prey on our false hopes

There is no ‘one way’ that works for everyone. Listen to the first-hand experiences of others, but consider it advise, not gospel. You must find what works best for you and I'm here happy to help. Transgender Electrolysis (MTF) is comprehensive electrolysis for permanent hair removal for males transitioning to females. We ensure correct patterns of hair removal bespoke to you as confirmed by your surgeon. I treat people from the very start of their journey of transition right up to operative stage. Specialist electrolysis is also relevant to graft sites of females transitioning to males.

However, Scrotal skin is challenging as it is soft, highly elastic and there are many skin folds. This requires extra pressure in making the three way stretch, to access the hair follicle. Also, with genital electrolysis, the technique is a different from other body areas. Follicles are usually quite shallow and for quick results, High levels of diathermy can be used. here in Beautyland Gold and insulated needles are used which helps to confine any tissue destruction to deeper parts of the follicle. We also ensure that the area to be treated has the benefit of topical anaesthetic.
