Why IPL E-Light with RF?

Because is the next step in the evolution of laser hair removal.

Both laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) use light to heat the hair follicle and prevent regrowth. Technology used to deliver the light is different – with the key difference being the kind of light itself.

In short, lasers produce a very specific type of light consisting of one wavelength or colour of light all going in one direction, which creates a single beam like a laser pointer. IPL devices produce a wide range of wavelengths of light to produce a single white flash.

Both laser light and Intensive Pulsed light (IPL) work by exactly the same mechanism, they all target melanin (which is the pigment)

This is a technology combining Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) with Radio Frequency (RF). This advanced combination proves effective even in cases where other systems fail.

RF technology reaches the middle and deeper layers of the skin by heating the tissue. This allows for less energy needed to be applied during the IPL treatment, leading to greater results obtained with a reduced number of sessions. The energy generated by the E -LIGHT is transformed into heat that permanently burns the hair bulb, yet does not affect the rest of the cutaneous structures. Also, the cooling system provided by the equipment minimizes any type of discomfort.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) hair removal uses a hand held device which omits gentle pulses of light, penetrating the skin and targeting the hair shaft. The hair follicles are destroyed resulting in permanent hair reduction.

Clients like IPL because it’s:

  • Painless

  • Quick

  • Long-lasting

  • Suitable for sensitive skin

  • Available for face and body

There is no downtime, so you can continue with your life straight away.

Frequently asked questions

How does it work?

Both laser light and IPL light work by exactly the same mechanism: The light (laser nad IPL) enters the skin and is absorbed by the melanin (pigment) in the hair shaft. The absorption of light causes the hair shaft and follicle to heat up. If the correct amount of light energy is used, the hair follicle cells are heated up to a critical temperature that results in an interruption of the hair growth cycle. Dependent on a number of factors, the effect can be permanent or temporary.

What Metod Beautyland  Use ?

IPL E-Light with RF Because is the next step in the evolution of laser hair removal. This technology increases the safety and effectiveness of treatments. High intensity light is emitted in flashes of short duration. These flashes change into heat and make the hair bulb atrophy permanently. First, the handheld touches the skin, which begins to cool. Then, Pulsed Light pre-heat the area to be depilated. Finally, IPL and radiofrequency work together on the dermis and epidermis. In a split nanosecond, the energy is transmitted through each hair down to its root. The sudden rise in temperature causes the hair to separate from its follicle.
E-light uses a broader spectrum of light and it is less invasive than laser

Radiofrequency (RF) is a non-invasive technique that raises the temperature of the deep layers of the skin, changing the structure of collagen and allowing skin cells to regenerate.
RF generates an electromagnetic field between two poles, passing through the deepest part of the skin, resulting in cellular movement, raising the temperature. This, RF complements IPL, expanding the treatment effect.

Finally, a freezing system makes the treatment much more pleasant.

Can all types of hair be treated?

Unfortunatelly no.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. I know some salons may make you sign a contract committing yourself to a certain number of treatments, I don’t. If you wish to stop after the treatments you have paid for, you always can.

What is the best time to start Laser Hair Removal?

Laser Hair Removal treatments cannot be carried out when the skin has had recent sun exposure. Autumn and Winter is the ideal time to start your Pernament Hair removal journey. A course of treatments is the only way to guarantee long-term and lasting results. This will take a few months to complete, so by starting cold months, you could be hair free by Summer. Remmember, Hair free bodies are made in Winter :)

When IPL may not be suitable for you)

- Recent sunburn - Unprotected sun exposure or solarium use 4 weeks prior to treatment - Pregnancy - History of seizures - Severe dermatitis or eczema (within the treatment area) - Active infections - Roaccutane use in the last 6 months - Herpes 1 or 2 (within the treatment area) - Very dark skin - Removing hair by the root e.g. waxing or tweezing 4 weeks prior to treatment (hair removal only) - Photo sensitising medications are best avoided

Whats the differences between at home use IPL hair removal and professional?

The diffrence is Hudge. Lets me explain it quickly. First of all : ---POWER--- The power of professional machinery is much higher. A professional laser and IPL machine outputs optical energy around 50/60 J/cm2. At home IPL devices output maximum is around 7 J/cm2. It’s a significant difference and means you need a much higher number and more frequent home sessions to get any results. --- WAVE LENGHT --- The high power of professional machinery, and longer wave destroys key areas of the follicle of actively growing hairs in just one session. This damage breaks the hair growth cycle for long lasting smooth results. You need a course of 6 to 8 to catch the majority of your hairs in the active growing state. Home-use devices are much less powerful and have shorter lenght of wave, also many of them have buid in filter so they work in a slower way. At first, during the start-up phase, they quickly cause temporary hair removal. This is where your hair falls out, but can start a new growth cycle a few weeks later. Soooo .... * Professional treatments give you longest-lasting, highest hair reduction from a single treatment course. Results can last years. You may need top-ups eventually. *At-home devices give you hair reduction too from a long treatment course but hair grows back if you stop too soon. You need very regular 4 to 6 week top-ups prolong your results and keep you smooth. Home use machines have also a certain number of light flashes.
