A little aftercare can make all the difference.
THE FIRST 24–48 HOURS ARE KEY
DO'S
-
Keep your skin clean
A gentle shower is absolutely fine. Use lukewarm rather than very hot water and treat freshly waxed skin gently.
-
Wear loose, breathable clothing
Especially after bikini, Brazilian or Hollywood waxing. Tight underwear, leggings and friction can make freshly waxed skin feel more irritated.
-
Keep skincare simple
Choose gentle, non-irritating products and avoid introducing strong active ingredients immediately after waxing.
-
Let your skin settle
A little redness or sensitivity can happen after waxing and will often calm naturally.
DON'TS
-
Avoid very hot baths, saunas & steam rooms
Heat can aggravate freshly waxed, sensitive skin.
-
Skip intense exercise for around 24 hours
Sweat, heat and friction from a hard workout aren't the best combination immediately after waxing.
-
Avoid swimming & hot tubs for 24–48 hours
Give freshly waxed skin some time before pools, spas and hot tubs.
-
Avoid perfumed products on the waxed area
Fragrance, deodorants and strong skincare may sting or irritate freshly waxed skin.
-
Avoid tanning and fake tan immediately after waxing
Wait until your skin has settled before applying self-tan, and avoid strong sun exposure on freshly waxed skin.
-
Don't scratch, pick or over-exfoliate
Even if the skin feels slightly different after your treatment. Give it time.

INGROWN HAIRS GUIDE
Ingrown hairs can happen after waxing, especially as new hairs begin to grow back. The good news? A simple, consistent routine can help keep your skin smooth and reduce the chance of hairs becoming trapped beneath the surface.
-
Start gentle exfoliation after 48 hours - Once your skin has fully settled, introduce gentle exfoliation to help prevent dead skin from blocking new hair growth.
-
Exfoliate regularly, not aggressively - A few times a week is usually enough. Over-exfoliating can irritate the skin and do more harm than good.
-
Keep your skin moisturised - Soft, hydrated skin can make it easier for new hairs to grow through normally.

COMMON QUESTIONS AFTER WAXING

CAN I SHOWER AFTER WAXING?
Yes. A lukewarm shower is fine, but avoid very hot water, scrubbing and heavily fragranced products while freshly waxed skin settles.

HOW SOON CAN I HAVE SEX AFTER WAX?
I recommend waiting around 24–48 hours, or until redness and sensitivity have settled, to reduce friction and irritation after intimate waxing.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR AFTER WAXING?
Loose, breathable clothing and underwear are best. Tight fabrics and friction can make freshly waxed skin feel more irritated.

CAN I EXERCISE AFTER WAXING?
Ideally, avoid intense exercise for around 24 hours. Heat, sweat and friction can irritate freshly waxed skin.

CAN I SWIM AFTER WAXING?
Wait around 24–48 hours before swimming or using a hot tub, particularly after bikini, Brazilian or Hollywood waxing.

CAN I SUNBATHE AFTER WAXING?
Avoid strong sun exposure and tanning beds for around 24–48 hours, and longer if the skin is still red or sensitive.
